Make a Face
We want you to create a portrait for our wall "Making Faces" to be shown in June 2010 at our exhibit-

Portraits in Process
Submit as many portraits as you want. They must be 5"wide by 7" tall- any medium including collage, drawing,painting, photograph, computer drawn, printed etc. Any style is fine including realistic or abstract. The portrait can be of yourself, someone you know, or someone you imagined. It might even be a portrait of a pet. All ages and all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. There is no entry fee. All submitted portraits are considered donations and become the property of Studio Downstairs. They will be returned in received in Self addressed and stamped return envelope.
You can upload jpeg images here or you can mail them to:
Studio Downstairs C/O Create Arts Center, 816 Thayer Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland.
All submissions will be exhibited at the Richard Dempsey Gallery, Takoma Park Municipal Center, 8600 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland from June 4-June 30, 2010.

I had so much fun doing this. I really got into it. It took me almost 3 hours. I like working with lots of colors!! They are the best. The brightness of the colors reflects the brightness of the hope I feel.
